Deck-ade the halls – Stockings

This is what happens when I’m trying to get something done as fast as possible and skip over the details such as fabric direction, block direction etc.

Here is the improved version, but I had to leave the red fabric upside down as it was already cut and sewn upside down and I really didn’t feel like wasting it by cutting some more.

Deck-ade the halls – Vintage Ornaments

Here is the next block in the Fat Quarter Shop QAL! This one turned out so cute, I love it! It did seem to take me forever to finish, definitely the smallest piecing I’ve done, especially compared to the large scale Heartthrob top I’ve been working on. But well worth it because these ornaments turned out adorably 🙂 I’m excited to get going on the next couple blocks of this quilt, now that the smallest blocks are out of the way.

Heartthrob – a work in progress

This is my newest project, the pattern is called Heartthrob and I found it over at Lella Boutique

As soon as I saw the pattern I thought it would be perfect for the Honey Honey fabric by Kate Spain my Mom gave me a few months ago. When she gave it to me she said she wanted to give me some girly fabric because I’m surrounded by boys in my little family 🙂

The top is mostly finished, I just have to complete the borders and decided what type of backing and binding to use. I’m really excited about getting this one finished!

The hearts came together easily and I loved working with this larger scale pattern it was so much fun!
